6 - 10 September 2017 From classical crossover and minimal soundscapes to modern composition with (live) electronics. Gaudeamus Muziekweek presents the newest music by young music pioneers during the eponymous and highly renowned music festival in Utrecht, the Netherlands.
Sunday September 11th Gaudeamus Muziekweek 2016 closed the festival with a thrilling and exciting premier of THIEVES by Thanasis Deligiannis. We look back on a very succesful 70th edition.
Concert recordings and interviews with nominees and other involved musicians and composers can be heard on VPRO Vrije Geluiden and Radio 4 Muziekwijzer (broadcasts of Sept 5 till Sept 10). The whole Up-Close openingconcert of Wednesday September 7th was broadcast on MAX radio 4 avondconcerten.
